A high-stud warehouse with a precision-fit interior.

A leading, worldwide furniture icon, La-Z-Boy required a South Island distribution centre. Lacking contacts in the South Island, they approached us for a solution. We located an ideal site and put a proposal together for a large, high-stud warehouse with an interior office component.

La-Z-Boy accepted the proposal. They wanted to own both the land and the building, so we became a project management vehicle, engaging consultants to ensure the design and build happened on time, to budget and to specification.

This project demanded careful management to ensure it met their specialised needs. La-Z-Boy required an electronic racking system with 11m verticals, accessible by computer-controlled stock pickers. This meant we had to get the floor slab absolutely level. We worked closely with their chosen consultants to ensure that these challenges were delivered upon, and the client is now operating successfully from their new South Island distribution centre.
